The AGO is a worldwide organization devoting to promoting the organ in its historic and evolving roles, encouraging excellence in the performance of organ and choral music, and providing a forum for mutual support, inspiration, education, and certification of Guild members.  Founded in  1896, the AGO serves over 19,000 members  in the United States, Europe, Singapore, Korea and Australia.

Founded more than 20 years ago, the Central Maryland Chapter is 501-C-3 organization composed of nearly 50 members who are extremely active in promoting the mission of the American Guild of Organists in the region.  In addition to holding monthly programs of specific interest to church musicians and to the public in general, the Chapter sponsors a scholarship program for young organists.  That program is supported by contributions by the Chapter and from generous members of the public.  We are proud of the outstanding young artists this outreach program has produced and hope you will join us in helping this important program thrive.
